RW's personal story

The Grace Tame story has lead me to the following recount. When I was in year 11, the Mother of a school friend groomed me into a sexual relationship. I used to do lots of sleepovers at my friends house and her Mother used to call me her ‘adopted son’ . After my friend had gone to bed , her Mum and I used to stay up talking ( her husband was often away for work). She used to give my a glass of wine or we would share a joint and talk about life, the universe and everything. One night, we were stoned and talking about thing and she said “ I’m going to race you off” and then she made her move on me. The relationship went on for 12 month and we had sex about twice a week. I loved it, but I know it was wrong and felt a huge amount of guilt regarding my friendship with her daughter and also her husband, who quite liked me. I tried many times to stop it but she always seemed to have the upper hand and we would resume things again. When I started year 12, I told her point blank that things were totally over. She told me that I would not be welcome at their house anymore. After this, she moved onto her next victim - another awkward teenage boy from the same school.
